My Art
My art creations are my love letters to the universe. They come from my emerging soul and are written to life itself. I am compelled to speak through the language of color, the depth of multiple layers, poetry, and symbols (both overt and hidden), to convey my bravest truth and questions.
My work is an ongoing exploration of my inner and outer worlds and how they intersect. Making art gives me a place where the grace and grit of my soul’s voice can reverberate and resonate not only for me but, hopefully, for my viewers as well. My paintings are created to be Soul Maps. They give me a means to fulfill my quest to understand human nature and claim my deep desire for liberation, peace, and beauty.
I use active imagination in my process to give my muse and psyche a way to illuminate & communicate with my waking mind.
This approach helps me refine the awareness of alternative possibilities and perspectives of my waking life. My deepest desire is to give the viewer a place to rest or rally, to find allyship for “ALL the Feels” of being human ~ tender, unmet and triumphant. My hope is to also offer the viewer an invitation to pause and connect with the voice within that longs to be heard and honored. This is the way to true healing.
